Sometimes the best travel memories are the ones that happen completely unscripted. While searching Google for memorable things to do during her final two days in Playa del Carmen, Paranda stumbled upon our website. She immediately reached out with an urgent question: “Do you have availability for tomorrow morning?”
Normally, organizing a luxury flying dress shoot on less than 24 hours’ notice is nearly impossible. Our dresses undergo a careful, delicate care process—every gown is hand-washed, dried, and professionally steamed after every single session to ensure the fabric flies weightlessly in the morning breeze. If a gown was worn the day before, it simply won’t be ready in time.
Fortunately, the stars aligned. The exact gown Paranda had her heart set on—our radiant Sunshine Yellow dress—was freshly prepped and waiting in the studio. To make it even better, her best friend Tiny decided to join the adventure, picking our delicate Baby Blue dress. Just like that, the stage was set for a sunrise milestone shoot.
The next morning, we met at our favorite coastal sanctuary, Playa Punta Esmeralda. Paranda and Tiny arrived accompanied by their friend Dee, who instantly became the official hype woman of the shoot!
Our group session for two people is tailored specifically for best friends, mothers and daughters, or sisters. It allows both women to shine in their own solo portraits while capturing that deep, playful bond together. The contrasting colors were stunning on camera: the energetic pop of yellow mirrored the rising morning warmth, while the soft baby blue flowed seamlessly with the calm horizon.
Throughout the morning, our assistant Majo guided every fabric toss with precision, while Dee kept everyone laughing and captured impromptu video clips on her phone. We adore these candid, unpolished moments. In fact, we love them so much that we always integrate these behind-the-scenes clips right into the final digital gallery so our clients can relive the spontaneous laughter of the day.
Because Paranda was celebrating her 50th birthday milestone, we couldn’t let the morning wrap without a proper celebration. Our team brought out a little birthday cake right on the beach, complete with a candle for Paranda to make a wish as the morning breeze carried the celebration.
Seeing two lifelong friends laughing in vibrant silk, stepping outside their comfort zones, and celebrating half a century of life together was the ultimate reminder of why we do what we do.
